One good thing about South Central is that the people in South Central are tying to improve the community . A thing that can change in South Central is all the damage done out streets . This needs to change because people base on what they see and go for what their eyes see and what their mouths speak but they never want to listen to the true stories of South Central . Even with our goods and bads i like living in South Central .
The first event is Crack Epidemic this event has made a lot of South Central. Many people may come to South Central ans say we are destroying our own community that we are causing damage to the United States . We can’t say we haven’t done nothing because we have but people don’t know who brought this deal to Los Angeles . Well i know who did and it was the government and for what for money . The government wanted money to fight Nicaragua for no communist . They got so into they’re battle that they never thought about the consequences . Then that South Central gets into the drug dealing thing the government wants to stop this drug dealing thing and blaming the latinos and blacks .That moment the latinos and blacks became the governments bad guys . Now the damage is done and the government hasn’t taken care of what they began .This event is what made South Central what is today.
The second event is Gang History this has also made South Central . Gangs are a issue to this day . We might think why are they here ? What are they fighting for ? Why are they killing ? Well fact is most of the gang members don’t know why they are there what they are fighting for . They don’t the story behind the gangs . It started when people wanted to stop the violence of whites against blacks . This is when the Black Panthers and Brown Berets came . This were groups to protect their people from whites abuse . When the Black Panthers and Brown Berets where destroyed by government . All this different gangs were formed but it was different now it wasn’t to protect it was for streets for money for revenge . This event has made South Central what it is today .
The third event is Immigration this is part of South Central . South Central is made out of Latinos and Blacks . well to get latinos over here they had migrate here . Its not only coming from one country to another but Latinos and Blacks had to suffer to get to where they are right now . And people may say we didn’t get so far because we live in South Central . But truth is we got further than no one because of all the sacrafices Latinos and Blacks had to make to get here we know how to work for our things . We know how to value what we have . We could get higher if the government let us but because we are in South Central they don’t think we got what it takes to be someone better in life . We know about life then whites because they always had it easy and we had the hard way . This is why immigration has made South Central what it is today .
I chose this three events because they are important information but also because they have made the place where i live today . I am not ashamed of saying where i live because of the history behind behind to me South Central is the greatest place i could live . I know South Central is going to keep changing for good but we really have to want it . And we have to want to prove all others that we are better then them .
Sal Castro was born on October 25,1933. He was born in Los Angeles .He organized the bretes agenda. One accomplishment was help a lot of Mexican -American students.In my opinion Sal Castro was a very good example of a leader he has been through discrimination because of the spanish language he has also been arrested for the walkouts we organized but none of that stopped him he still is helping people out.

I did good this quarter .I didn’t miss any assignments.Yes i did do my best at all times.I am doing good any all my classes except algebra.because i laugh a lot . Not laugh i guess.

Broken window theory is when people are careless for things and think they got the right to vandalize it .
I found many places that looked uncared for . In example the sidewalk was all trashy and filthy. The bus stop is all tagged on . The water tank it’s real color is peeled of its tagged on all rusty.
I looked at many houses on sale or for rent but most of the houses were uncared for . I also saw many businesses around there. For example car wash , auto shop , fish store , and the bakery . All this tells me we need to improve the community we live in .
